Creed Collins is a public elementary school located in Pennsboro, WV in the
Ritchie County School District. We provide enriched learning for Pre-K
thru 5th grade.
School Profile
Currently for the 2008-2009 School year, there are 250 students (Pre-K
to 5) enrolled at CCES. Students are divided into 2 classes per grade (3
Kindergarten classes / 1 Third Grade) with an average
of 18 students per class.
Building History
The current building was built on the site of the former Creed Collins
Mansion. The family donated the property in 1963 to the school.
Visitor
Information & Parking
All visitors are
requested to check in at the main office which is located on the second floor
just off the Main stairway. Any visitor remaining at school for a length of time
is required to sign-in and wear a Visitor Sticker for the duration of
their stay.
Parking is limited. Visitors may park at available spots at the bottom of the
Bus Circle, along the road at the front of the building or in the grass area at
the Rail Trail. At no time is parking permitted on or near the bus circle. Two
spots in front of the 5th Grade building are strictly reserved only for our
Honorary Grandmothers. For safety and accessibility we ask that you do not block
the stairs at the bottom of the sidewalk.
