CSO & Assessment Testing

What is a CSO?

Content Standards & Objectives. Simply put,  it is the Curriculum Guidelines for each grade level. To view your child's curriculum from the WV Dept. of Education, please Click Here (You can choose the subject & Grade Levels)

Many changes with the CSO's will occur for the 2008-2009 School Year as we advance into the 21st Century Teaching. More info can be found on the Teach 21st Century website.

What is Assessment Testing?

Assessment testing is essentially a measurement process of the learning that has either taken place or can take place. Under No Child Left Behind, tests are aligned with academic standards. Beginning in the 2002-03 school year, schools must administer tests in each of three grade spans: grades 3-5, grades 6-9, and grades 10-12 in all schools.
