Parent Involvement

"Parent involvement in education has proven to be a key factor in the success children achieve in school. But not every parent knows how to be involved and not every teacher or school knows how to encourage participation from families. Connecting the dots of communication between home and school has become an important focus for the West Virginia Department of Education Office." • The Parent Involvement Policy for Ritchie County Schools outlines the General Expectaions between Parents & Educators. The goal of this policy is to enhance cooperative efforts between homes and schools in the county that will encourage parents, through a variety of means, to become involved in the education of their children.
