Creed Collins Elementary School PTO
Creed Collins is a wonderful place for our children in
part because our parents are so supportive and involved. One of the best
ways to get involved and support the school is to join the PTO. It is the
PTO and its members who plan, fund and provide the academic and
extracurricular enrichment so critical to the success of the school’s
instructional program.
The mission of the PTO is: "to enhance the learning
experience of our children through engaging in support activities and
facilitating communication between parents, teachers, and administration."
The purpose is to:
Promote cooperation among parents,
administration, staff and students in order to encourage a friendly
atmosphere in the School that is open to rights and suggestions of all;
Promote a positive open forum on matters
of general school concern (questions, recommendations, or suggestions.)
Support efforts of volunteers in
fundraising for benefit of students and the school on a not-for-profit
basis;
Promote public relations through community
involvement in the school.
CCES PTO Officers:
The 2008-2009 PTO officers are...
Co-Presidents
Kathy Holden and
Deanna Wayne
Vice Presidents
Melanie Vogt-McCloy
Secretary
Diane Lamp (& Co-Treasurer)
Co-Treasurers

PTO membership allows the parents, staff and community
to Vote on specific topics involving CCES. Parent involvement is essential
to the development and achievement of our students.
The meetings this year will be geared towards
accomplishing our agenda, but to achieve this in a more casual atmosphere.
In order to improve attendance, the PTO officers will be offering Door
Prizes, Refreshments and Child Care. Come be a part of your child's school -
their Future depends on it!
Please note- Everyone should attend so they know what
is happening at CCES, take part in discussions and Meet New Friends!
PTO focuses on the following:
Fundraising: these efforts are fundamental to the future success
of CCES.
Library: Volunteers are always needed to help with all aspects of
the library. Approved volunteers will receive free lunch. Library helpers
are needed every Wed. from 3 to 5 pm. If you are available, please
contact JoEllen Linville.
Box Tops for Education: Collecting box tops are so easy! Just
snip them off the products you already buy.
IGA Labels: Buying groceries from your local IGA? Clip these
labels to earn money and classroom prizes!
Yearbook: This committee keeps up with all the yearbook
requirements from start to finish and the results are fantastic.
School Improvement: Beautifying the school from inside out. See
what improvements have been set in place, and which ones are in the works.
Fall Festival: Annual day of fun! Children (and adults:) look
forward to this festival filled with games, prizes, inflatable rides,
hayrides and more.
Homeroom Help: Every classroom need volunteer helpers for
different events and activities, but also to do some basics that teacher may
need assistance with.
Volunteers: In order to make the most of school and it's
functions, we recruit volunteers for as little as 1 hr to as many as they
are willing to give :)
